Technological innovation drives Bluetooth to broaden the boundaries of wireless connectivity
At the opening speech of the 2025 Bluetooth Asia Conference, Neville Meijers, CEO of the Bluetooth Technology Alliance, emphasized the alliance's firm support for the flourishing development of China's innovation ecosystem. He will establish a new Chinese member group to promote deep collaboration among Chinese member companies and accelerate the landing of Bluetooth technology in key industries and application scenarios. He stated that "Bluetooth is not just a technology, but a global community with the common goal of meeting basic connectivity needs
The continuous breakthroughs and innovations in Bluetooth technology have led to a continuous expansion of its market. The latest information on the Bluetooth market in 2025 was officially released at this conference, which focuses on the continuous growth of Bluetooth technology. It is expected that the global shipment of Bluetooth devices will exceed 5.3 billion units by 2025 and reach nearly 8 billion units by 2029.
At the technical meeting, Xinke Technology shared the significant progress of SiliconLabs' channel detection technology. Bluetooth channel detection is a new feature in the Bluetooth Core Specification 6.0 version, which uses phase ranging to achieve safe and accurate distance measurement between two low-power Bluetooth connected devices, enabling many Bluetooth devices to have true distance sensing capabilities. Bluetooth channel detection can be used for home and daily applications such as electronic device positioning and tracking, as well as industrial and commercial applications such as geofencing, keyless entry and access control or vehicles, opening up more exploratory Bluetooth application scenarios.
